It's day -8, I have now been admitted for my stem cell transplant at Kings College Hospital. Yesterday evening was my admission and today has involved lots of meeting people, tests and my first chemo dose of Fludarabine. So far I am feeling ok apart from my usual ailments and tiredness, the nurse has said nausea may soon kick in. The actual Chemo going in is not painful at all just tedious with a drip attached to you.
The days heading towards transplant are a count down to day 0 a new beginning for your stem cells or your re-birthday as some say.
By day - 6 Campath will be added to my chemo schedule and by day -3 Busulphan too
will keep the updates coming but for now its time for a good nap :)
