On Tuesday I will be having my second infusion of Rituximab, although the first dose hasn't had a magical effect and stopped the hemolysis, I am destroying red cells at a slower rate which is a hopeful sign.
Rituximab can take a while to work, I am hoping with the second dose my blood will stabilise a bit more so that I can leave hospital and have week visits. Altogether I will have four weeks worth of rituximab and blood transfusions when needed just to keep me topped up.
Keeping myself busy with colouring books, reading and a lot of sleeping having few red blood cells is exhausting! Also you are woken up at ungodly hours every night to check your vitals.
